Saamya operates in various locations across India, each center addressing the unique needs of its community. These centers serve as safe spaces where boys learn about empathy, respect, and equality, fostering positive change in their attitudes and behaviors.
In Noida, we work in urban villages like Garhi, Mamura, Basai, and Nithari. Our four-year intervention has significantly transformed boys’ perspectives, helping them develop a respectful and empathetic approach toward women and girls.
Located in Bodla village, our Agra center supports 50 children from underprivileged backgrounds, helping them challenge traditional gender norms in a diverse community setting.
Our Lucknow center in Mahibullapur caters to 50 children from marginalized families. With many children balancing household responsibilities, the center provides an essential space for learning about gender equity.
In Okhla, we partner with a private school to engage over 100 children from migrant and laborer families. The program helps reshape gender perceptions in this culturally diverse community.
Situated in Agara village, our Sheopur center works with over 40 tribal children affected by displacement. The program addresses their unique challenges, promoting understanding and respect for gender roles.
Each center plays a vital role in Saamya’s mission to build a gender-sensitive society. By engaging boys in diverse environments, our centers empower them to challenge harmful gender norms and become advocates for equity in their communities.
